思春期を過ぎれば、子どもは親とは関係なく、勝手に生きていきます（このことは、自分自身の経験からすぐにわかるでしょう）。幸福な時期は、（あとから振り返れば）一瞬で終わってしまいます。

思春期になれば子どもは家庭から離れていきますから、子どもを家庭の中心にすると、いずれうまくいかなくなります。無責任ないいかたを許していただければ、子どもの人生に過度の責任を負うのはやめて、自分の人生を楽しめばいい、というのが私からのアドバイスです。

私は、「子どもよりも親が大事」と、自分の子どもには伝えていました。
